Kat Vento
Kat Vento is an artist living in Milwaukee, WI. There, she creates a variety of artworks ranging from figural paintings of her loved ones, cartoon fan art, and folk arts like knitting and marbled, paper beading. She makes a strong case that art-making lacks discrimination and that art requires different forms and mediums to be accessible to everyone. Kat Vento describes her love for art as an appreciation of its magic, and that her style of art education begins with showing students what magic they’re capable of creating.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Kat Vento in her home and studio space in October. Her interview will be posted on November 17th at 12pm.
We’re excited to announce that Kat will be hosting an event with Burnpile, where she’ll discuss and teach processes she uses in her practice.

“I realized i was an artist when I can’t help but respond to how i feel with making things”

Extra special thanks to Kat Vento for letting us interview and take a tour of her amazing artworks. Follow Kat Vento and her creating on Instagram @bugs.eat.me <3
