artist journal!

Burnpile’s first collaborative artist journal was launched June 13th! This journal will continue being passed between artists of any medium wishing to contribute to a collaborative piece. This journal has no objective, any subject that each artist wants to focus on is completely up to them (with exclusion of any hate-related subject matter as determined by Burnpile). Any medium is accepted! Poetry, drawing, collage, painting, prose, etc. Each artist is given a two-page spread and one-week time period to complete any artwork they wish. Sign ups are directed through email burnpileartco@gmail.com, on instagram @burnpile.d or below.

This journal will be continuously passed until all pages are filled! This will take some time! That means sign-ups will not be closed until announced at a later date! :)

To sign up, please DM, email or fill-out a submission below. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME, INSTAGRAM HANDLE/EMAIL, YOUR MEDIUM (doesn’t have to be specific or set-in-stone), YOUR CITY AND IF YOU ARE ABOVE THE AGE OF 18. Signing up for this journal includes signing up for the responsibility to complete your artwork in the week given, to limit your piece to a two-page spread (if you need more room, contact Burnpile via instagram), and to pick-up and pass-on the journal to the next artist. YOU CAN SIGN UP AS A GROUP! If you’re hoping to have all of your roommates, family, friends, band, etc. sign up as a group either with individual spreads or to collaborate on the same spread let Burnpile know so we can accommodate ample time and space for your group! Burnpile will help facilitate the passing-on of the journal through Instagram, each artist will be given the handle of the artist that will contact them when its time for the journal to be passed to them and the handle of the artist they will be responsible coordinating a pass onto. Burnpile is happy to help with this! If schedules don’t align or there’s any worry about safety through this Facebook-Marketplace-esq. meet-up, no worries, any issues can be directed to Burnpile to make this as safe and comfortable as possible. **Children under the age of 18 MUST specify their age so Burnpile can help facilitate this interaction. Any other questions can be directed through instagram DM’s (or email) where each artist will be given a full detailed instruction via the Artist Journal Project group chat regarding timing, passing on the journal, etc. on their contribution to the artist journal!
